Seating capacity is about 80. The Dash-8, this aircraft is smaller than a jet and uses props. The Dash -8 takes a bit longer to reach Oahu because it's not a jet. Seating capacity is about 50 Hawaiian Airlines: This air carrier is the oldest and largest of all the inter-island air carriers. Hawaiian Airlines has the largest jets out of all the carriers that services Hawaii. They are also the fastest. The seating capacity is about 125 +. The adventure takes you through the rainforest of the Puna District on your way to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Once inside the park you will discover the power of the Earth with a drive along the Chain of Craters Road with stops at the Thurston Lava Tube and Kilauea Iki Crater. A no host lunch can be purchased at the Volcano House Restaurant over looking Kilauea Crater. Explore the Jagger Museum and understand the history of the Worlds Most Active Volcano. You will visit the fern tree jungle and enjoy the sights of Crater Drive and the Steam Bluffs where the lava flows into the ocean. When lava enters the ocean, intense heat can produce a plume cloud with dangerous and potentially life threatening toxic gases, super heated steam and hydrochloric acid. Airborne particles are a hazard to your eyes and lungs. Leave area at once. If inland flows are present, and you use caution you may have an opportunity to view fresh lava up close. Follow marked routes and your guide's instructions. Molten lava is 2000 degrees F. Keep a safe distance and never go into areas where your escape route may be cut off.
