A world away from Waikiki in West Oahu provides the once in a lifetime experience of seeing the playful dolphins and other marine life with the stunning backdrop of the Wai'anae mountain range. Panoramic decks and the best dolphin activities, with Certified Naturalists, narration, video presentation, keiki (children) program and dolphin guarantee year around. During the Oahu whale watching season, as a bonus opportunity you will get to view the Humpback whale. The Hoku Nai'a typically sees several different dolphin pods a day that usually contain 40 to 70 dolphins. Off the Wai'anae Coast the dolphins usually seen are the playful and ever happy Spinner Dolphin. Fruit Punch is available through out the cruise. Additional beverage is for purchase. The Hoku Nai'a means Star Dolphin in Hawaiian. A large catamaran with covered decks both on top and below the Hoku Nai'a is the newest touring catamaran in Oahu. With its 360 degree observation deck and a walk around deck on the main level the Hoku Nai'a is comfortable and stable in the water. Snorkel Option: After a morning of Oahu dolphin watching you can stay aboard for the Hoku Nai'a premier Oahu snorkel adventure and enjoy snorkeling in the pristine waters off West Oahu. All snorkel gear is provided by the Hoku Nai'a and snorkel instructions for the beginner. The Hoku Nai'a features easy step easy stairs into the water, fresh water shower, open air deck space, relaxing sun deck and onboard restrooms. Time & Location: The Hoku Nai'a departs from the Wai'anae Small Boat harbor in West Oahu. The check in for this Oahu Dolphin watching activity is at 9:00am. The Dolphin tour departs at 9:30am. The return is to the Wai'anae small boat harbor is at 11:30am The Dolphin Watch & Snorkel returns at 3:30pm The Hoku Nai'a does offer a shuttle service for this Oahu Dolphin tour. Service can be reserved from either Waikiki or Ko Olina. There is a fee for the service. We highly recommend using the shuttle service as it's easier and more convenient than driving. It also takes the stress out of getting lost from Waikiki. Pick up locations vary through out the Waikiki district according to hotel. The shuttle service stops at most Waikiki hotels.

This exciting dolphin adventure begins as the Nai'a I departs from the Waianae Boat Harbor and travels along the remote scenic west coast of Oahu in search of Spinner Dolphins. You will be able to take some of the most amazing photos of you're your vacation as the Spinner Dolphin come to visit and perform their incredible aerial stunts. Very few people have the opportunity to see spectacular displays.

Swimming with Dolphins: Playtime and photo opportunities with the dolphins includes Dolphin Excursions in the water program known as "The Drop". If the dolphins are awake and playful, Dolphin excursions conducts The Drop, allowing guests to safety get wet with the dolphins and experience the sights and sounds of dolphin play from a unique underwater perspective. Imagine being in the water, with a mask and snorkel and suddenly you are surrounded by Spinner Dolphins playfully swimming by you chatting among each other, as they go about there business. This dolphin safari cannot be experienced in a park. Only in the wild! Please note that Dolphins are not guaranteed with "The Drop". The Drop is successful 80% of the time. Snorkeling takes place among some of Hawaii's most pristine reefs, teeming with colorful marine life and the inquisitive Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Snorkeling with the green sea turtles is an experience all it own. Please note that snorkeling in the winter months is weather and surf dependent. If the conditions are not suitable for snorkeling, you may spend more time with the dolphins or enjoying the humpback whales. Meals: There are no meals included with this event. Dolphin Excursions provides snacks consisting of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, juice and bottled water. Pick Up Locations: Drive Times: Free Transportation is included from Waikiki hotels. We suggest you take advantage of this offer. This will eliminate the hassle of having to find the Waianae Boat Harbor in West Oahu. The pick up locations are conveniently located through out Waikiki. Generally speaking each pick up location is with in a 10 minute walk. Please allow enough time to arrive early to the pick up location. You can select the transportation option on the reservation page. We usually include the transportation with the reservation for your convenience. Excursion Times & Location: The check in for Dolphin Excursions at 10:30am. The charter departs at 11:00am. Please note that the event times are subject to change. If you insist on driving to the Waianae Boat Harbor in West Oahu you should allow at least 90 minutes of drive time from Waikiki. From Kapolei allow at least 30 minutes. From the North shore allow at least 60 minutes. There is no GPS for this event.
